About Michelle
Michelle Bias is a writer and publishing consultant who helps people bring meaningful work into finished form.
After writing and self-publishing her own memoir, String Theory, A Life, Michelle navigated the full self-publishing process firsthand — from manuscript preparation and interior formatting to cover design decisions, KDP setup, and final upload. Like many authors, she quickly learned that finishing a book requires a completely different skill set than writing one.
Michelle Bias Studio grew out of that experience.
What began as a necessity — figuring it out herself — became a way to support others who have already done the hard part and now need calm, capable guidance through the final stages. Michelle works closely with self-published authors to handle the technical, structural, and design details that often stall momentum, helping books move from draft to finished product without unnecessary stress.
In addition to her studio work, Michelle maintains a private practice working with individuals and couples, with a focus on trauma-aware, relational, and systemic approaches. Her background as a trauma expert deeply informs how she works — with care, clarity, and respect for both the creative process and the nervous system of the person behind the work.
Michelle understands how vulnerable it can feel to share creative work, and she brings a steady, grounded presence to projects that require both precision and trust.
In addition to publishing support, Michelle designs clean, functional websites for writers and small business owners who want a clear, thoughtful online presence.
